Communities of Practice

Established October 2016.

Communities of Practice is a platform to showcase inclusive water, sanitation and hygiene activities from different countries throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

Each page features a different country and provides a hub to share information and resources such as guidance notes, recent research and practical tools on inclusive WASH. As a start, here you will find resources and news on inclusive WASH developments in Cambodia and Timor-Leste. The hub strives to be a lively community of practice, where practitioners and researchers can find resources in local languages where possible, and in accessible formats.

This 2016 Exploratory Study on Menstruation Management in Timor-Leste was commissioned by the BESIK program to gain insights to the factors that affect menstruation management among rural women in Timor-Leste. Insights gained from this research will be used to influence the design of sanitation programs.
